State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG), based on Article 24 of Law no. 72/2012, dated 28.06.2012 "On the Organization and Functioning of the National Geostationary Information Infrastructure in the Republic of Albania", has put into operation the New National Geoportal, which provides network services in accordance with this Law and the INSPIRE Directive of the Union European.

Through the National Geographic Portal ASIG offers the possibility of free use by public institutions for the performance of their functions of geospatial data created by the responsible public authorities. Access to the download service (exchange of data) through the National GeoPortal is provided only after the public institution has the necessary credentials (username, password).

Any public institution interested in using the download service should send ASIG formally in official way, the authorized person / authorized to use online services, along with the completed registration form. The authorized person should be field specialists in order to be able to use the network services.
