State Authority for Geospatial Information, as the public authority responsible for the topic: “Determination of the geodetic reference frame and geodetic control”, has updated the geospatial information on the National Geoportal for the layer “State Gravimetric Network of the Republic of Albania”

This network is part of the Geodetic Reference Framework of Albania (GRF) and includes:

1. State Gravimetric Network of Zero Order (3 points);

2. State Gravimetric Network of First Order (42 points);

3. Gravimetric Network of Second Order (338 points);

4. Gravimetric Network of Third Order (772 points).

The absolute gravimetric points of zero order (Shkodër, Tirana, Saranda) and the 42 points of the first order relative gravimetric network constitute the Albanian Gravimetric Datum.

The unit of measurement for the gravitational acceleration of the force of gravity is ms-2 (meter per second squared).

The updated data are conform to the state standard for technical specifications of geospatial information in Albania, topic: “Determination of the geodetic reference frame and geodetic control”.
