State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG), in cooperation with the National Committee of Large Dams (KKDM) has published in the National Geoportal, on the topic "Hydrography" geospatial information on Large Dams, updated until 2021.

The Technical Secretariat of Large Dams (STDM) in support of the implementation of Law no. 8668, dated 02.11.2000, "On the design, construction, use and maintenance of dams" and the DCM no. 147, dated 18.03.2004, "Regulation on the safety of dams and dumps", has created the national register of large dams (DM), which is a database, created by the processing of technical-legal documentation of passports of DM, sent to KKDM by their users / administrators, based on the Instruction of the Council of Ministers no. 4, dated 18.07.2003, as well as in accordance with the General Instruction of KKDM and the relevant form, approved by the Decision of KKDM, no.02, dated 21.09.2020.

The data are in accordance with the standard, approved by DCM no. 829, dated 07.10.2015, for the approval of the document, "State Standards for Technical Specifications of Geospatial Information Infrastructure in Albania-Theme Hydrography". .
