In the premises of Hotel Tirana International, ASIG within the IMPULS project held a workshop on "Geospatial Information Infrastructure in Albania - National Geoportal" This workshop was attended by representatives of public authorities responsible for the topics of Article 11 of Law 72/2012 "On organization and functioning of the National Infrastructure of Geospatial Information in the Republic of Albania " as well as representatives of other institutions that have the basis of their geoinformation work. The objective of this Workshop was to enable responsible public authorities to benefit from the National Geoportal Services through live demonstration related to: recording, creating and editing metadata and especially downloading data.

The speakers of this workshop emphasized the importance of the National Infrastructure of Geospatial Information in the decision-making process, the steps taken to implement the ISPIRE directive and the services provided by the National Geoportal for Public Authorities.

ASIG experts demonstrated live user registration process in Geoportal, editing and updating metadata for the respective layers as well as the network services provided through it, form metadata discovery, viewing data and downloading them.
