State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG) in cooperation with the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) as the public authority responsible for the topic “Statistical Units”, has published on the National Geoportal the layers “Grid 1 km2 Census (INSTAT)”, “Building Census (INSTAT)” and “Local Government Units Census (INSTAT)”.

The 2023 Census data on the distribution of the population in the Republic of Albania at the Grid 1 Km² level, for buildings for residential purposes and for the distribution of the population of the Republic of Albania according to administrative units, which are generally valid for 10 years.

The data are in accordance with the state standard for the technical specifications of geospatial information in Albania approved by the Council of Ministers No. 999, dated 09.12.2020, on the topic: "Statistical Units".
