State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG) in cooperation with the National Environment Agency (AKM), has published on the National Geoportal the geospatial information for the "Landfills" layer, on the topic "Utility and governmental services".

Each relevant landfill location and the technical specifications set out in the relevant permit.

The data related to landfills were generated based on the list defined by the National Waste Management Agency (AKEM) and were obtained digitally by AKM, through the process of digitization, systematization and processing of information extracted from Environmental Permits.

These data are in accordance with the State Standards for Technical Specifications of Geospatial Information in Albania, topic: "Utility and governmental services", approved by Council of Ministers No. 998, dated 9.12.2020.
