State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG), based on the information made available by the local self-government units, has updated the “Order 4 (Administrative units)” layer in the National Geoportal for the municipalities of Bulqizë, Korçë, Gjirokastër, Fier and Mallakastër.

For these municipalities, the boundaries of the administrative units of which have not been approved by decision of the Municipal Council, the “Legal status” field has been filled in with the value “Illegal”. Given that the boundaries are in accordance with Law No. 115/2014 “On the administrative-territorial division of local government units in the Republic of Albania”, and the Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 360, dated 29.05.2019, “On the approval of the updated map of the administrative-territorial boundaries of local self-government units”, the “Technical status” field is populated with the value “Compliant”.

The geospatial data are in accordance with the standard approved by the Council of Ministers No. 1078, dated 23.12.2015, On the approval of the document “State Standards for Technical Specifications of Geospatial Information in Albania, Topic: Administrative Units”.
